The distinctive shape of the keshi pearls gives these elegant hoops a playful personality. The softly uneven surface lets the light play beautifully across the nacre as they move. French hoops have a lovely round shape that brings the pearl close to the ear and looks wonderfully elegant. These are handmade and hammered. Keshi pearls are pure nacre, and they take their irregular shape because they form without a nucleus. A nucleus is the bead placed inside the mussel to make it grow pearls with round shapes. That is what makes keshi pearls so valuable and sought after: along with all that character, they are organic material through and through. Made in 925 silver.
