A timeless, very elegant ring with a sky-blue cubic zirconia of 8 x 6 mm. The making is classic, with a subtle touch of hammered texture on the band that plays with the light and gives it something extra. The stone sits a little raised, and throws back lovely shades of blue as the light changes. It combines happily with other rings, and stands just as strongly on its own. Zirconium is a natural mineral that is worked into jewellery stones known as cubic zirconia (CZ), with a consistent result and a clarity comparable to diamond. Cubic zirconia measures 8.5 on the Mohs scale against diamond's 10, which makes it very hard-wearing and a fine jewellery stone at a gentler price. A trained eye can catch subtle differences in brilliance, and a CZ is slightly heavier than a diamond. The true colour of the stone is a light sky blue; the photo showing the ring lying on its side gives the best sense of it. Ring size: 52. It can be altered a little, just get in touch!
