The spring sun throws a light all of its own through the ice drops melting on the branches — a sheen of blue and yellow from the sky and from the shimmering snow. It is like the way light moves in an opal: when the sun shines through it, it makes the loveliest spectrum of colour, flickering subtly in the clear white as you wear it. This is a genuine Australian opal of 7 x 5 mm, of high quality. You can recognise a genuine opal by that clear but subtle play of colour that shifts as the light moves, and by its being one whole piece — uniform, not layered. A chain is available separately.
