A byzantine chain, handmade from 1 mm wire in 925 silver, with a handmade clasp. A luxurious piece. This is a gift that makes a deep impression, and one that can be passed down through generations. Byzantine chains are timeless, and bring depth and elegance to any outfit. The byzantine chain is said to have come from the Byzantine Empire, carried north by the Vikings (through honest trade, one hopes), and here we have kept this beautiful craft alive. The clasp is hardened and tightened so that it will not bend or slip open. It is easy to put on and take off. The design of the clasp makes it an elegant feature in its own right: instead of something you want to hide away, it brings out the beauty of the piece. The piece can be oxidised if you like, which gives it an anthracite-coloured surface, matte or polished as you prefer. Please note: this piece is made to order.
