A byzantine chain, handmade from 0.8 mm 925 silver wire. This is a luxurious piece, and a gift that makes a deep impression. Byzantine chains are timeless, and bring depth and elegance to any outfit. The byzantine chain is said to have come from the Byzantine Empire and to have been carried north in the Viking age, and here we have kept this beautiful craft alive. A byzantine chain made with 0.8 mm wire comes out 4.5 mm in diameter. The chain in the photo is 50 cm long. Please note: it takes from 1 - 3 weeks to complete. The piece can be oxidised if you like, which gives it an anthracite-coloured surface, matte or polished as you prefer.
